when I was in the El Vez Punk Rock Revue, we had the privilege of opening for Kid Congo Powers and the Pink Monkey Birds at SXSW. I'd heard his work in the Cramps, Bad Seeds, and Gun Club, but that was my first time crossing paths with him in person. From that moment, i started calling him Tío Kid, my punk/goth/SoCal Mexican uncle of rock n roll.
Last week, i released a demo video of his latest fuzz pedal, The Tingler, and he was kind enough to repost it on Instagram! Fully stoked is an understatement!
